A recurring character from the work of Ron English, Cathy Cowgirl is a statement art piece against the dairy industry’s use of bovine growth hormone. Only 450 figurine toys were made, and four of us were transformed into the iconic character for English’s fantastic opening at the Opera Gallery in SoHo, NYC. It took five hours for the body paint application and over two hours to remove it. All we are wearing are g-strings, shoes, gun belts, cow ears and, of course, nipples.
